The purpose of Konnect is to help the user to import or export data from one trading partner to another (e.g. transfer Order information from customer to supplier), or from one business application to another (e.g. copy Order information from customer management system to warehouse management system). One common method of these transfers are done using a common accepted flat file referred to as X12 EDI formatted files.
We found a need to allow users of the NCR Counterpoint software the ability to work with these types of files in order to do business with companies such as Wal-Mart, Firestone, US Government, etc.
In designing the software to handle the export and import of these types of files, it became apparent that we could also design the software to work with other file types, giving the program more ability to work with other systems and files. As a result, the software is now able to work with other file types such as CSV, XML, JSON formatted files. We are also able to use the program as a foundation to create custom solutions quickly for clients.
Here are some of main features that are available in the program:
The program gives the user the ability to define multiple configurations for both customers and vendors and whether you are exporting from or importing to the Counterpoint software.
